"How do I look?" Liz emerged from the bathroom and stepped into the living room. She slowly turned in a full circle.
"You look great," Quackerjack replied from the couch. "You look just like the character. How much did it cost you?"
"Thats not important," Liz told him. "It cost a lot, I will say that much, but I've got a lot saved up. Did I tell you the newspaper wants to promote me?"
"You didn't. Thats great!"
"Well I should honestly thank Negs for that, it was my interview with him that made them want to give me a promotion. Okay I'm gonna change." She headed back into the bathroom. A few minutes later she returned in her normally bright and tacky cothes, with her cosplay outfit on a hanger. Hanging the outfit in the hall closet, she moved back into the living room and flopped onto the sofa next to her husband. Turning to face him, she drew one leg up under her. "My boss was shocked I was able to get close enough to Negs to do the interview."
"I'm shocked he agreed to it."
"I told you, Negs likes me."
"But hes tried to kill you more than once."
"True," Liz nodded, "but hes never physically hurt me."
"He tried to blow us all up!"
"Okay, maybe he has physically hurt me, but he still likes me in his own way. He showed up at the wedding, didn't he?"
"Yeah," Quackerjack nodded. "I guess he does like you at least a little."
Liz's mind drifted back to the kiss Negs had given her the day of the wedding and she felt herself starting to blush. "QJ, I need to tell you something."
"What?"
"I..." Liz frowned slightly. "I'm in love with Negs, but don't worry, I would never cheat on your or leave you. He kissed me the day of the wedding, after everyone went inside."
Quackerjack tensed visible, "Just a quick kiss, right?"
"No. No, it was a passionate kiss. I was gonna slap him, but I didn't."
The jester pouted slightly, "Liz you never told me you had feelings for Negaduck."
"I know, I didn't want to upset you. But I promise you that I will only ever be friends with Negs."
"You know you're not really his friend, right?"
"Yeah," she nodded sadly, "but hes still my friend. And considering that kiss he gave me, I'm pretty damn sure he actually does like me."
"I will kill him."
"Don't worry, honey," Liz patted his arm, "nothings gonna happen between me and Negs. Besides, I'd be more afraid that he'd kill you. Your toys aren't exactly a match for that chainsaw hes got."
"I've got exploding pandas."
"No trying to kill Negs."
"Okay," he continued to pout. "You promise nothing will happen?"
"I promise," she leaned forward and kissed the tip of his bill, "I pledged myself to you until death do us part."
Quackerjack seemed satisfied with that and he happily threw his arms around her. "I love you," he told her.
"I love you too."

The convention hall was crowded, but Liz had expected that. She hated crowds though. There were people in costumes, people without costumes, games displayed on huge monitors, dozens of random booths. Making her way through the crowed she stopped and glanced around, wondering what she would do first. She wasn't wearing her costume until the 5th, for now she just wanted to look around.
"Hey, Liz!" She heard someone call to her and she turned to find two teenagers walking toward her. One was a girl with red hair, the other was a boy in glasses.
"Oh hey," Liz smiled, "you're the ones who are friends with Darky. You were with us when Negaduck tried to destroy the city."
"Yeah," the girl replied. "I'm Gosalyn and this is Honker," she motioned toward the boy at her side. "You're married to Quackerjack, right?"
"I am," Liz nodded. "If you're thinking hes gonna show up here and do something stupid, I've already talked to him about that. Have you seen Darky anywhere?"
"I saw him earlier," Gosalyn replied. "I bet hes waiting for your husband to crash the party."
"Are you... sure hes not gonna show up?" Honker asked.
"I'm sure," Liz replied. "QJ is at home with Megavolt. He promised he wouldn't try anything. And he knows I will beat him half to death if he does."
"Well we're gonna go check out the new Whiffle Boy game," Gosalyn said, grabbing Honkers hand and pulling him away. "Darkwing is around here somewhere."
"Okay," Liz called after them. "Nice seeing you again." She turned around and shrieked in surprise, Darkwing was standing right behind her.
"Wheres your husband at?"
"At home."
"And he just let you come to a gaming convention?" Darkwing raised an eyebrow at the girl.
"QJ has matured a lot, believe it or not," Liz told him. "He said he wouldn't do anything and he just wanted me to be happy."
Darkwing looked skeptical. "You really got him to change his mind about video games?"
"Not entirely. He still hates them, but he deals with the fact that I like them. Hes even asked to watch me play one."
Crossing his arms over his chest, Darkwing eyed the girl up and down, "What did you do, threaten him?"
"Didn't have to," Liz replied. "QJ just promised he wouldn't try anything."
"And you trusted him?"
"Hes my husband, of course I trust him."
"Well," Darkwing sighed, "I'm still gonna be keeping an eye out. Take care of yourself, Liz."
"See ya, Darky."
Turning away, Liz made her way through the crowd, stopping at any booth that caught her attention. She found a booth of people doing character artwork and bought a couple pieces to take home with her.
