"Spike," Bushroot called into the other room, "come here, boy."
Spike appeared in the doorway with a small pillow balanced on his head. Slowly he crept his way over to his owner, doing his best to keep the pillow from falling.
Liz clapped her hands gleefully. "Good job, Reg," she smiled. "Hes doing so well."
"So when is the wedding?" Negaduck asked from his seat at the desk.
"Three weeks," Liz told him. "I know you won't be there cause Darkwing will be there."
"You're lucky I don't kill you just for being friends with him."
The girl smirked, "If Darky can handle me being friends with you, you can handle me being friends with him."
"We're friends? I don't have friends."
"Well you're my friend, even if I'm not yours."
"You really are dense, aren't you?"
Liz just smiled. "And you're a jackass," she replied, "but I like you anyway. You like me, Negs, you just won't admit it."
"Pfft," the masked duck rolled his eyes.
"Where are you going on your honeymoon?" Megavolt asked from where he sat on the couch.
"Dunno yet," Liz replied. "Mr. McDuck said he'd pay for us to go to Hawaii, but I hate other people paying things for me. And I sure as hell ain't gonna let QJ come up with the money."
"Probably because it would be illegal," Bushroot replied.
"Exactly," Liz nodded. "We may just stay here in St. Canard for our honeymoon. Theres plenty of things we can do here. You know they have dining boats in the bay."
"Great," Negaduck rolled his eyes, "I won't be able to get rid of the two of you for a couple weeks."
----------
"I think uncle Morty and uncle Rob should move their families over to QJs side," Liz said as she stared at the guests. "That way it doesn't look so empty."
Standing, the two men ushered their families to the other side of the aisle. Liz glanced around. They had decided to have the wedding in the park and there were lights up and down the aisle and around the pavilion, since they had decided on a night wedding.
They were doing a wedding rehearsal and Liz wanted to make sure everything was perfect.
"You have more friends and family than I do," Quackerjack replied from beside the girl.
"I don't even think you have family."
"I do," he replied, "but they don't talk to me anymore."
"I assume because you're a criminal."
"Yeah, pretty much."
Liz smiled, "Well my family will become your family soon enough. I wish Negs would come."
"You think he cares?" Quackerjack asked her.
"No," Liz shook her head. "But still, it be nice to have him here."
"If he really likes you, like you think he does, he will find his own way to show up."
"It looks nice," she nodded toward the aisle and chairs. "Its just a shame no one will see all the flowers in the dark.
"It doesn't have to be pitch dark, just dark enough to see the glowsticks. Where are you gonna put 'em?"
"In my bouquet. Maybe one around my neck."
"What about all the bracelets?" he asked her.
"Don't worry, I'm still gonna wear a lot of what I normally wear. There will be candy bracelets and stuff. We're still having the reception inside though."
"I figured as much."
"I think going with a buffet was a good idea, instead of individual meals."
"We still need to get the cake ordered," he reminded her.
"I know, I had planned to do a cake testing today after the rehearsal."
----------
"I like this one," Quackerjack pointed to something in the book that was laying open on the counter.
"Thats too many tiers," Liz told him. "I think a three tiered cake is fine. What about that one?"
"Thats not fondant, is it?"
"We can tell them no fondant."
"Have you made a choice?" A woman appeared from the back of the shop.
"We think so," Liz replied. "We'd like this one," she pointed to an image in the book. "But no fondant."
"We can do that," the woman smiled. "Do you want to pick out a cake topper?"
"No thank you, we're having one custom made."
"Alright," the woman replied. "Payment is due when the cake is ready. Someone will call you the day of your wedding."
"Thank you," Liz called as her and Quackerjack left the shop.
"So what kind of wedding dress did you get?" He asked as they walked back to the girls car.
"Not telling," she stuck her tongue out at him. "You have to wait for the wedding."
They climbed into the car and Liz started the engine. "How come you can see my tux but I can't see your dress?"
"Because its bad luck for the groom to see the wedding dress before the wedding."
"Will you really wear all the colorful bracelets and stuff?"
"Yeah," she nodded. "Amy thinks its tacky, but you like the candy raver look."
"It suits you."
